Recently, I was in town visiting family. While at the County Fair with my grandchildren, I noticed a woman with great hair....I loved the color, the short style---I even loved the way her jewelry accessorized her whole look. Very put together. She must be a hairdresser, I thought to myself. What I loved about her is that she looked great, but not complicated. If my stylist gives me a look so painstakingly difficult to duplicate myself, it isn't worth the time or effort. I couldn't stop looking at this woman...and sure enough, she caught me...three times :) At this point I asked her the Million Dollar Question, "Who does your hair?" She smiled at me, reached in her purse and handed me what I was sure was her personal business card. "Ah I was right..she is a hairdresser..." I thought to myself. But to my surprise, she had handed to me a coupon worth $20.00 to The Hair Company. I asked her if I could possibly make an appointment with her?? She smiled
that smile again and proceeded to introduce herself. She was not a hairdresser at all. She was the salon's Guest Consultant. We talked for a few minutes and she invited me to come by and she would give me a personal tour of the salon and have a stylist give me a one-on-one consultation. I was speechless. I am 62 years old and my husband is retired military so I can honestly say I have been to many salons all over the world....but this? This would be a treat I had never experienced before. The whole time we were talking, I just kept looking at her whole "look". Her hair was short..not fussy, but slightly edgy. Classy. But most importantly, it did not appear complicated. I asked her who cut her hair and how long does it take for her to get that "look". She laughed and said, "This is second day hair....it took about two minutes today." Two minutes??? Yes...she said two minutes. Could I possibly get my hair to look like hers? Absolutely, she said. Could she recommend a
stylist that could do my hair like hers? She smiled again and said, "At least 20. You just come on in to the salon and we will sit you in an artist's chair." She shook my hand, told me it was wonderful to meet me and she was looking forward to my "visit". I was excited....why she had decided to give me this "royalty treatment" I do not know, but I was going to definitely take her up on her offer before I headed back to Colorado.
Once again, I was speechless. I always considered this quaint little part of the world my daughter and her family lived in ---Southern Maryland---to be as far from city life as there is. I walked in the door and was so surprised by the sophisicated decor...a New York salon in the heart of Leonardtown. Oh, and what caught my eye? The jewelry on display....just like my friend was wearing. Complete sets! As promised, I was welcomed warmly by my lovely friend I met at the Fair and she gave me a tour of the salon. Goodness. I just can't describe my impression. Gorgeous. Lively. Bright. Clean. Friendly. Talented. The list goes on. I then was given a complimentary consultation. And to my good fortune, the stylist was then able to do my hair. I left out with a complete new look...a sassy cut with a fabulously shiny color and Bare Minerals I had been wanting to try, but had never found it in retail stores. My stylist also gave me a quick make-up demo....I love it! I left out of The Hair Company feeling younger and brighter than I had in years.
The true test was yet to come. The next morning, I got up and looked in the mirror at my hair...actually it wasn't bad at all. I remembered what my friend had said at the Fair..."This is second day hair...it took me about two minutes." I decided to just use a little of the product I had purchased, run my fingers through my hair the way the stylist had....and to my surprise--it really did look good. Two minutes! I got several compliments as the day went by. The second morning was the Real test. I washed it. Using the salon's styling products I had purchased, I did my hair the way I had watched it be styled. I recalled the styling tips I was given to achieve the "look". To my delight, my hair turned out the way I had wanted it to....and it was the easiest and least complicated style I have EVER worn. I did not use a curling iron or a roller and still got a styled look with the use of a brush, blow dryer, styling products and MY FINGERS (who knew?). Other than my "secon d day hair", this styling took me less time than I have ever spent on my hair in the morning. I am still in awe.
I returned home after a lovely visit with my grandchildren. My husband met me at the airport. Would he care that I had cut my hair? No. Would he even notice? Probably not. Well, I was pleasantly wrong. He does care and he did notice. And he really liked it. He also said that I looked rested....which must have definitely been a direct result of the Bare Minerals because those grandchildren ran me ragged!
I am so pleased with my whole experience I had at the Hair Company. I pulled up your website hoping The Hair Company had a "sister" salon in Colorado...no such luck, but as I perused your website, I saw where I could submit a testimonial. I know I am long-winded, but I didn't want to leave anything out. I casually mentioned to my daughter that it looks like I might be visiting her more often in Southern Maryland....and I let her think it was because of the grandchildren. We will keep it our little secret that it will be to get my hair done!
Thanks again. I really enjoyed my "visit".

My appointment with Jill was the first time I had ever been to The Hair Company. I can tell you that I was totally impressed with the salon=) Awesome facility!! It is set up very nicely. Jill was great - I plan to return, as I have already booked my appointments through December with her...
The welcome bag with the coupons was a nice touch - I haven't gotten anything like that before. Everyone in the salon was VERY friendly and accommodating. I'm used to being in the salon ALL day - it was nice to get in and get out in a timely manner (AND still have a great outcome).
I'm looking forward to my next hair appointment with Jill and Kelly=D Wish I had of checked out The Hair Company earlier.....
Thanks,
Debbie
I moved to southern Md. 2 years ago. I have tried 5 other salons with no luck. I decided to give The Hair Company a try after looking at their website. I have finally found my salon! I cannot say enough about their staff and Tara who did my hair. I loved the results. They made me feel very comfortable and I am very nervous about meeting people for the first time! It is a piece of heaven in Leonardtown!!

For the first time in a really long time, I came out from having my hair worked on & didn't cry. My hair, to say the least is a HUGE challenge to work with, because I have very thin hair, & not so much of it, which makes it tough. I had been wearing a wig for several years now, after having health issues that ultimately left me with thinning, unsightly, unmanageable hair & going to the hair dresser was very depressing for me. But that all changed last night! I made a same day appointment with Brooke, & at the end of the night, I could actually look in the mirror & smile! What really sold me was when I walked into my house after leaving the Hair Company & my son stopped in his tracks & hugged me & said..."Wow Mom, you look awesome! Let's burn this wig now!" Besides doing a fantastic job, Brooke was unbelievably personable & I can't wait to go back & see her for some more of her miracle therapy! Thank you so very much! I have nothing but great things to say about
my first experience at The Hair Company!

I have been a faithful client of 10 years to my hairdresser and salon for more than a 20. I stopped in to see a friend at The Hair Company. While browsing the retail area, I had questions. Even though I clearly was not there for Jill, I was overwhelmed by Jill’s helpfulness, knowledge, and professionalism. I enjoyed the upbeat environment and felt the positive energy among the stylist and their clients. I was so surprised with the respect and enthusiasm that I was given, even before I purchased a single item or made an appointment. It was then, that I decided to schedule an appointment with Jill even though my original stylist/salon was much closer to my home (which is 45 minutes from The Hair Company).
I felt that my former salon/stylist had long ago lost its sparkle, but I continued to go there, since I didn't’t know where else to go. I just continued out of habit. My former stylist was habitually late for work, or running behind (and didn’t seem to care). No one there seemed to like what they did, the atmosphere was negative.
Jill did a wonderful job in half the time (normally took my other stylist three hours). Not only did I receive a great service from Jill, but the little courtesies/extras as well. Eyeglass protectors! Imagine that! I will definitely be back, and will be recommending Jill and The Hair Company!

After moving to southern MD from Ohio over a year ago, I dreaded trying to find a hair stylist I liked and trusted. I tried a couple of different places but was never really satisfied...until I came to The Hair Company and had my first appointment with Jill. WOW, I love her! She takes her time to find out what you want. Her color techniques are amazing as well has her cutting style. I will never go anywhere else.

I have three teenage children and little time for myself. I like to find that one special person for my hair and be loyal, but being a military wife of 20 years made that impossible. I have had many stylists over the years from Atlanta, GA to Hollywood, CA, and I have been platinum blonde with spiral curls to a pixie cut brunette. But being new the area, I had just let my hair grow until I couldn't stand it! At age 40 the grays were there and I did not feel pretty. I live about 40 miles from Leonardtown, MD. I asked around and was told that ALL of the Stylist's at The Hair Company were highly skilled and that I would not be disappointed. I decided with all of the upcoming Christmas parties that I had to have something done, and it had to be professional. I wanted people to stop me and say/ask, "Wow, who does your hair?" (like when I was a teenager). I called on Monday and did not expect to get in for a while, and to my surprise and excitement I was scheduled on Tuesday, the very next day. The salon was exceptionally clean with a pleasant smell, not the horrible breath taking odors of bleach and perms that I remember as a kid. The entire staff was friendly from the moment I stepped in, and the salon interior is beautiful and comfortable. I am now a loyal fan of Shannon! She was a great listener and was able to translate my concept of what I wanted into an absolutely fabulous hair cut and color. Stylist is not the word for Shannon, I believe a better description is Artist. I never felt hurried, and Shannon's suggestions/recommendations were appropriate, truly revealing her passion, creativity, and proficient skills. Shannon took time to show me the Bare Minerals make-up as well. (Which I purchased and love!) Dana introduced herself and we discussed skin care! I will definitely be back for a facial! Now I have many things to add to my holiday wish list! You have to let my husband know! I would take a pampered day at the salon over any of their gift, the time to treat myself is cherished. I have already received compliments on my hair an make-up and I just left the salon 3 hours ago. I do look as if I stepped out of a magazine. My hair is a silky, shiny, vibrantly, rich, chocolate brunette color with golden/caramel highlights and has a satin feel! Thank you Shannon and The Hair Company for putting the pep back into my personality.

I have been coming to the Hair Company for years. I have had many different stylists over that span from Jackie to one of their newest talent, Tara. I am very comfortable and feel confident having any of the Hair Company's stylists do my hair--therefore, I can't particularly point out any single hairdresser as my preference. Sometimes my monthly budget is a little tight-- and occasionally scheduling with a Level One or Two stylist often affords me to keep my style looking fresh while staying within my means. The Hair Company's Level System is a smart way to deal with today's economy without jeopardizing satisfaction and quality. Also, I would like to mention their tanning salon. The Hair Company's "Electric Beach" is the best tanning salon I have ever been to and it also has different levels to fit everyone's budget. If you are in need of an instant glow, I can't say enough about the Mystic Spray-On tan they offer. Sun-kissed look in a single session. How great is that?
You really must experience it to truly understand how awesome a spray-on tan can be.
The Hair Company provides a unique experience for all of your beauty needs. From your head to the tips of your toes (their nail services are top notch as well), The Hair Company is the answer! You will NEVER leave disappointed. Client satisfaction is their #1 priority and you actually feel it in every service they perform. How many places have YOU frequented lately that leaves you with such a good feeling??

I have had very good experiences with the girls in your shop. Brittany is an excellent colorist I have had so many complements when she did my hair. Sarah is great I had been looking for someone to cut my hair like I wanted and she did a fantastic Job. Thank you Sarah.

I love coming to the Hair Company. It is so hard to believe that the place is what it is once you get inside. It looks and feels like you are in a salon in New York City! I absolutely LOVE the new look the place has. The black & white animal print looks great.
Sarah's schedule didn't have an opening for as soon as I wanted. So I was offered Shannon. Any stylist there would have suited me. Every stylist at The Hair Company that I have been to has been good so far.
I was given a brand new style cut called Sports Illustrated. Shannon had just learned the style the day before in a class. I was really impressed that she offered the cut to me and did it so well. I was a little worried that I was a guinea pig and it wasn't going to turn out. I shouldn't have worried because Shannon is very good. I trusted her & it turned out beautifully. No one would have guessed that I had gotten such new style because it turned out like Shannon had cut that style a thousand times. It was perfect.
And my color is beautiful!! I have had many compliments on my hair color since Shannon did it. I love it. It is the best highlights I have ever gotten. Shannon is SO good!
I love coming to the Hair Company. Everybody is very nice. I will never go to a different salon again!
