Help Debbie and Jackie help them! Call us crazy, but we are going to CAMBODIA!!!!
Since this is a 'last minute' decision, and the travel cost is unreal, (and cuts into our holdiday spending, our poor kids) we (Debbie & Jackie) opening our schedules on Saturday, Dec. 10th. 100% of the income we generate that day will go towards helping cover some of our travel expenses.
After spending some time with our friend, and fellow salon/boutique owner, and seeing her passion for helping others, and the need for more help, well, lets just say "We drank the Kookaid!".
We've talked about going in the past, (well Debbie did). But really wondered what could we do to contribute. After attending our friend, and fellow salon/boutique owners, fashion show, FASHON FOR A PURPOSE, we saw the AMAZING garments the women of Cambodia made. We were blown away by their talent, but their sizing needed a little consistency. The light bulb went off! THIS IS WERE WE CAN HELP! Debbie and Jackie both have a pretty extensive knowledge of sewing and quickly realized they could help these women with their sizing and pattern making, SO OFF WE GO!
They have an amazing team of seamstress in Cambodia that are paid a very good wage to make clothing for COMPASSION4 charity. These clothes are then purchased by the boutique (just like any other vendor). The profits the charity makes goes right back to the very community the seamstresses live in. So it’s a double pay off.
