Tell us about yourself:
I grew up in a little town in Missouri until seventh grade. I then moved to St. Mary's with my Dad, and love it!
I'm normally spending my free time with family and close friends. I also work at Potomac Speedway on Friday nights. I also love to practice coloring techniques on my friends.
When and why did you decide to join the beauty industry?
I've always loved doing hair. I started shampooing hair in a small salon and I realized then, this is what I wanted to do. I came to The Hair Company in October of 2006. Now I can't get enough of it!
Where did you receive your training?
I apprenticed under Debbie at The Hair Company.
What do you like best about the industry?
I like people, and making them feel special. It changes everyday, and I love being able to be 'Me'.
Why did you choose The Hair Company to call home?
At my previous job, all I ever heard about was The Hair Company. When I decided to make this my career, there was no question where I wanted to do it!
What services do you enjoy performing the most?
I love doing color. It's my favorite. It's always something new, and so many different ways you can do it. Honestly, I just love this business, and performing whatever service comes my way!
Why do you think it is importation to take advanced training?
This career is always changing and new things are always coming up. If you don't continuously go to shows and classes, you can't keep up with the trends.
What advanced training have you received?
I've received a great deal of advanced training while working here. The Hair Company has had several of the top educators come into our salon, as well as us traveling to different shows.
What does customer service/satisfaction mean to you?
EVERYTHING!!! It's all about making the guest happy.
Do you have a mentor/role model? Why do you chose that person?
Debbie is by far my role model! She's an awesome person and very well educated in this business. I chose to apprentice under Debbie because she is everything I want to be...The talk of the town, with a busy book!
If you weren't in the beauty industry, what would you be doing?
If I wasn't in this business, I would most definantly be a daycare provider or a teacher. I love kids!
What are your goals?
I want to learn all that I can about this business. My goal is to become the 'best of the best', and love every minute of it!
