Tell us about yourself:

Growing up in Waldorf, I was surrounded by family. On May 30th, 2009, I married an AMAZING man, Andrew. I have the greatest stepson I could have ever hoped for named Joshua. We enjoy family time (especially when Joshua and I kick Andrews butt at 'Trouble'.) I have a 'ready made' amazing family and look forward to adding to it!

When and why did you decide to join the beauty industry?

I have always wanted to work in this industry. I went to college, but soon realized that the only way I'd be truly happy, was doing hair.

Where did you receive your training?

I attended the Fila Academy, a Paul Mitchell Partner School in 2004

What do you like best about the industry?

I love change. I love making clients smile. I love making them feel beautiful.

Why did you choose The Hair Company to call home?

I was looking for a new 'home'. When I heard about The Hair Company, I thought it was too good to be true. So I had to find out for myself!

What services do you enjoy performing the most?

I love doing all types of color services and razor cuts. I also enjoy updo's and make up.

Why do you think it is important to take advanced training?

IIt is SO important that I stay up to date with my services and techniques. This enables me to introduce my guests to the latest fashions.

What advanced training have you received?

I most recently attended the Redken Exchange in NYC. I have also attended TiGi Advance Cutting, and

TiGi Make up

I've been part of all of the classes hosted by The Hair Company: Advance Color with Dennis Gebhart, Design Principles with John Yurkew, All About Consultations with Connie Westrick, Principle Based Cutting with Sam Villa, Color/Business with Sandra Hurd, Cutting with Chris Baran, Cut, Color, Business with Frascisco Villa, Business Building with Lynn Winsell, and the list goes on and on..

What does customer service/satisfaction mean to you?

My guests are walking billboards. So when they are happy and looking great, it not only makes me happy, but it brings in more guests!

Do you have a mentor/role model? Why do you chose that person?

My Mom is my mentor/role model and hero.She has always been the best Mom, but the last few years, when things got rough, she was my 'rock'. After my brothers accident, she was by his side 24/7, and always remained strong. Without her, my family would not be who we are today. More importantly, my brother would never be as happy, outgoing and strong as he is today.

If you weren't in the beauty industry, what would you be doing?

I would probably be an English or elementary school teacher.

What are your goals?

Professionally, I want my books overflowing with happy guests.

Personally, I want to continue with my happy marriage, add to our family, and live happily ever after in our own 'perfect world'.
