Tell us about yourself:
I grew up in the 7th District (Avenue, MD). I have a Yorkshire Terrier, named Ringo. I love to crochet and be with family and friends in my free time.
I have been working at The Hair Company since I was in beauty school in 2000.
When and why did you decide to join the beauty industry?
I have wanted to do hair since I was a little girl.
Where did you receive your training?
I graduated from Blades School of Hair Design in 2001
What do you like best about the industry?
Making people feel pretty, happy, and good about themselves
Why did you choose The Hair Company to call home?I
I felt very comfortable when I came in the salon, and I wanted to be a part of the team.
What services do you enjoy performing the most?
My favorite is cut and color.
Why do you think it is important to take advanced training?
To keep us up to date with what is new.
What advanced training have you received?
Columbia Beauty Supply show, Williamsburg VA
I have also taken several cutting, color, and make up classes hosted by The Hair Company.
What does customer service/satisfaction mean to you?
A Lot! It is important to give great customer service. I hate when I go somewhere and the staff are rude. I always want our guests feel comfortable & important when coming into the salon.
Do you have a mentor/role model? Why do you chose that person?
Really, everyone is a mentor to me. I get good information and learn something from everyone I come in contact with.
If you weren't in the beauty industry, what would you be doing?
I have no clue! All I know is the beauty industry.
What are your goals?
To be very successful. To have a family and a happy home.
